Galindo, Matea Sanchez v. La-Z-Boy, Inc.

The employee, Matea Sanchez Galindo, filed an appeal in Spanish challenging the trial court’s denial of her motion to continue a summary judgment hearing. Despite being instructed to provide an English translation and offered resources, she failed to submit the required documentation. Consequently, the Tennessee Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board found itself unable to discern any substantive issues or arguments to review. Citing the appellant's failure to develop an argument and properly prosecute the appeal, the Board dismissed the appeal. The case has now been remanded back to the trial court for further proceedings.
